DOLCETA – Online Consumer Education

This resource is relevant to primary, post primary and further education teachers and students across a wide range of subjects (Business, Science, CSPE, SPHE, Home Economics, ICT, Biology, Beauty Care, Clerical and Administration, etc) and programmes (Leaving Certificate Established, Leaving Certificate Vocational, Leaving Certificate Applied, Junior Certificate, Transition Year Programme, FETAC Modules, etc.).

In a sense, the resource has something for everyone – teacher, student and member of the public. And it will get better.

In particular the Teachers’ Corner contains an introduction to consumer education and 24 detailed lesson plans with accompanying active learning strategies, support materials and interactive on-line quizzes – covering personal finances, health and safety, sustainable consumption and services.

The DOLCETA resource is being continuously developed for all EU countries and is available in all member state languages.
