Appointment of ETBI Director of Schools
Education and Training Boards Ireland (ETBI) is delighted to announce the appointment of Mr. Séamus Conboy as a second Director of Schools in ETBI. Séamus will have responsibility for the development of the Community National School (CNS) model and the roll out of a Core Values Framework to all ETB schools, primary and post-primary.
Séamus has been on secondment to ETBI from his principalship in Citywest and Saggart CNS since September 2016. Séamus holds a master’s degree in intercultural education and is currently undertaking an Educational Doctorate in values Education. The General Secretary of ETBI stated “I am delighted with the appointment of Séamus Conboy to this position. Séamus has already been instrumental in the growth of the CNS model to date. His expertise in multidenominational education and experience as a principal have enabled him to support ETBs as they become patrons of more and more Community National Schools. He has also been central to work currently been undertaken at post-primary level in the whole area of multidenominational and values education. I wish him every success in this role”.
